Work on a wide range of technologies and communicate in different areas of the sector to support events, problems and applications. Responsible for answering IT requests by phone, email, live chat or instant messaging and explaining solutions in technical and non-technical terms.
Desktop support job roles:
• Creation and installation of PCs, telephone systems, wireless networks and peripherals (such as printers, scanners, mobile phones / smartphones) related to desktop infrastructure, according to departmental standards
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on events
• Maintain PCs, networks, telephone systems and margins with routine maintenance
• Identify, record and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems
• Identify possible system changes and improvements for presentation to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation.
• Ensure that the work is done within agreed service levels and in line with departmental guidelines
• Create, maintain and disseminate progress reports on senior leadership
