All F5 tests are now scored on a scale scale, where your score ranges from 100 to 350 possible points; all F5 tests are calibrated for a passing score of 245 on that scale.

 

Test 101 - Application Delivery Basis

All certification paths start here. This is the first test required to achieve F5 certified B5-IP controller status. All candidates must take this test in order to advance in the program.

 

Passing the 101 Application Delivery Basics Test ensures candidates have the skills and understanding necessary for day-to-day management of Application Delivery Networks (ADN) and demonstrates that the candidate has the foundation to follow all other pathways certification. This test identifies candidates with the necessary knowledge to work with F5 products and technologies.

 

Minimum Qualified Candidate Summary (MQC)

 

The MQC has a basic understanding of IP networking fundamentals, protocols, basic security concepts, and traffic management concepts. The MQC must also be familiar with F5 technologies, the application delivery network, and multi-device traffic flow, and be able to identify common causes and problems.

 

The MQC can do the following without help:

 

Identify and explain the components of TMOS

Describe the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) module

Login to your device and view the logs

Troubleshoot basic network problems

Create a problem statement
