cable service providers offer training for newly qualified secondary staff, but
some jobseekers enroll in training programs offered by the technical schools
and universities in the community. The programs can last up to five years
depending on the depth and breadth of the material and cover programs such as
basic electrical engineering, telecommunications, physics and mechanical
engineering.
Completion
of apprenticeship programs is common in this area, according to the U.S. Bureau
