Are you a mechanically inclined troubleshooter with technical experience, programming, or hardware repair? As a kid, did you love building with Legos? Do you like to fix your things when it breaks? Our company is looking for a field service engineer for our copy and printing division. In this role, you will work on-site at customer locations to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair printers and copiers. After some job training, you will be able to work on your technical, mechanical and electrical skills every day in new and challenging situations while interacting with a wide variety of people, machines and environments.

Labor responsibilities

Assess hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools and customer feedback.

Disassemble and reassemble worn or damaged components and consumables to repair or replace components and consumables

Drive to customer locations using a personal vehicle, manage your own daily route to arrive in a timely manner based on the customer’s location and problem, and keep accurate time and mileage records.

Educate and train customers on paper and toner replacement, basic problem-solving skills, and easy solutions (e.g., scratches on copies are often the result of dirty scanner glass, which can be "fixed" easily without a service call)

Provide excellent customer service, listen carefully to customer concerns, and resolve issues until customer satisfaction

Update and maintain the assigned machines according to the manufacturer's specifications

Maintain parts inventory, personal library of machine manuals, laptops and tools assigned by the company
